Terms and Conditions

1. Scope of Work

Heusner Fire & Safety ("HFS") provides inspection, installation, servicing, and maintenance of fire alarm systems and surveillance systems.

Services are delivered according to industry standards and applicable local, state, and federal codes.

2. Estimates & Pricing

All estimates are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated. Prices are subject to change based on job-site conditions, permit costs, or client-requested changes. Additional work beyond the agreed scope will incur additional charges.

3. Scheduling & Access

Client agrees to provide access to the property during the scheduled service window. Missed appointments without at least 24 hours' notice may be subject to a trip charge.

4. Payment Terms

Payment is due upon completion of service unless otherwise agreed in writing. Invoices unpaid after 15 days may incur a late fee of 1.5% per month. HFS reserves the right to suspend work until the account is current.

5. Ownership of Materials

All parts and equipment remain the property of HFS until full payment is received. HFS retains the right to remove or disable any system or equipment installed if payment is not received within the agreed terms, subject to applicable laws.

6. Warranties

HFS warrants labor and workmanship for 1 year from the date of service. Manufacturer warranties on equipment apply as provided. Damage due to misuse, vandalism, or unauthorized modification voids all warranties.

7. Liability

HFS is not liable for damages resulting from fire, system failure, or any condition not directly caused by our negligence. Client is responsible for testing and reporting issues between scheduled service visits.

8. Code Compliance

HFS installs and services equipment in compliance with current fire codes. It is the client's responsibility to ensure that systems remain compliant after any structural, operational, or occupancy changes.

9. Termination

Either party may terminate service agreements with 30 day written notice. Work performed up to the date of termination is billable.

10. Dispute Resolution

All disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Pinellas County, Florida, in accordance with Florida law. Each party bears its own legal fees unless otherwise ordered.

11.Consultation Services & Fees

Heusner Fire & safety offers both complimentary and paid consultation services depending on the nature and scope of the request:

Free Walkthrough / Proposal Visit: Offered to property owners, managers, or contractors seeking a quote for a defined project. This includes a visual review of the premises (up to 60 minutes) strictly for the purpose of estimating services.

Paid Consultation: Consultations requiring code analysis, design input, troubleshooting, or system upgrade planning, a paid consultation is required. These sessions provide in-depth professional guidance and recommendations. Payment is due prior to the visit unless otherwise arranged in writing.

Current Rates (subject to change)

  • 1-Hour Fire Alarm Consultation $185.00

  • Full System Code Review & Written Report: Starting at $185.00 Per Hour

  • Consultation credit: If you proceed with fire alarm services through Heusner Fire & Safety within 30 days, your paid consultation fee will be credited toward your final invoice.

Cancellations: Please provide 24 hours notice for cancellations. Missed appointments or late cancellations may result in forfeiture of the consultation fee.
